In Progress – Killjoys Masks II

^ The finished version of the black mask, after much struggling. The dots on the border were done with silver glittery puff paint:
Puff paint is a bitch to use, but the result was worth it.
I forgot to photograph the front of the green mask, so I’ll do that for the next post, but all of the masks will have this written on the top inside. I thought it would be a nice little in-character touch. Later models will most likely have FSTL written inside instead, and possibly placed on the bottom of the mask instead. We’ll see. To make sure nobody winds up with Sharpie on their forehead, I’ll paint a layer of the varnish over the lettering.
The only problem I had with this mask (and it wasn’t really a problem, because it gave me an idea for a later mask) is that I tried to wipe off, then paint over a sizable blue smudge in magenta. You can’t really see it in most lights, and I probably shouldn’t even mention it (but I’m documenting all of this as best as possible), but I’m debating whether or not it’ll be one of the five that winds up on the Etsy store. *shrug* I’ll ponder it, especially since I’d really like to see someone pair it off with their costume.

And this is where I am at the moment. I’m not sure what color to do the X and O yet. I’m thinking…yellow? I want a bright, obnoxious color for them. Maybe one bright, obnoxious color for each.
